Giveaway: 21-Day Sugar Detox Books

Hello dear readers!

I hope you all had a pleasant holiday.  If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I hope you had a terrific Wednesday.

No matter your religious or social celebration habits, we are all facing a new calendar year coming up in less than a week.  We are rapidly closing in on 2014!

I thought I’d end this year on a high note and give away TWO books.  These babies are going to be given away to one person as a bundle.

Diane Sanfilippo’s new books about the 21 Day Sugar Detox are brilliant. The first is a how-to and why you ought to get rid of sugar in your diet.  The second is a very thorough cookbook covering every meal.

To tell you the truth, I’m going to be using my copies of these beauties to make sure I start the new year as healthy as I can be.  I admit to eating more than my fair share of sweet treats over these past days (maybe weeks?  Thanksgiving wasn’t that far in the past…..)

So, here’s the deal:  I’m going to run this giveaway until 12:01 am, January 1, 2014.  You can enter multiple ways.

1. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter.2. Sign up for my mailing list (I don’t spam!)
3. Leave me a comment and tell me what you hope to accomplish (health-wise or otherwise) in 2014.

Like many other small businesses, I have a Facebook page, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to get people to see my posts over there.  Only about a tenth of you see my content.  I still invite you to like my page over there (and please make sure I’m shown in your news feed!) but I will probably be focusing less and less on Facebook as the months roll on.  Sad, I know.

That’s it!  I wish all of you the very best in the new year.  We have so much to learn from each other and I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings to all of us

Love and peace.Jill

I am SO hoping to get back on track with my Paleo lifestyle. A very difficult second half to 2013 left me extremely stressed out and turning toward my old ways of eating out of familiarity and comfort. I’m giving myself until December 31st and then it’s time to kick my butt back into gear and get healthy again!

My goal is to take an even deeper step towards overall health and wellness. Specifically, that looks like incorporating even more TCM and aryuvedic principles into our regimen.

My goals are to get more sleep (i.e. going to bed earlier), get more exercise (nothing crazy, just adding a bit in to get me off my butt), and hopefully to lose a few pounds.

Hi Jill! my Instagram handle is halnic and my Twitter handle is @HalOberkirsch, I’m already a subscriber. This year I am hoping to be able to maintain my Paleo lifestyle more diligently. We are away from home quite a bit and I find that it is very difficult for my husband and I to maintain our healthy lifestyle when we are away from home. I’m hoping to plan for our weekends away so that I will be able to keep on track and continue to feel better. I am also hoping to do the 21DSD in the new year if I can get my hands on the book.

Hi! My instagram handle is: @yellzfit and my twitter handle is @paleolena

I’m planning on starting a family in 2014, so I’m working on achieving the healthiest uterus ever! I want to have the beachfront condo of a uterus, so overall health and wellness is extremely important. I’m excited for the new chapter in my life and working on the health of my future child from conception! :)

I would love to win this. I lost about 70 lbs in 2012 but gain 30 lbs back in the last couple of months. I really need to get back on track. I am insulin resistant and need to get it under control. Also I am going to be a bridesmaid in the summer and would like to be in better shape for that.

    Thanks!

My main goal this year is to focus on myself and my health. These books would help tremendously in getting started!

I started out Paleo in November last year. I lost 25 pounds. I wavered between Paleo and eating whole foods since my family wasn’t on board. The hardest part is breakfast. If I can’t get something prepared for the week, I tend to eat whatever I can find. I make my boys things like the Paleo Parents waffles, but I end up eating them too. Fine in small quantities, but not every day for me. Help!

What I mean to say is, I need to kick the sugar habit. Treats are my crutch. That is what I need to change for 2014.

I have big plans for the new year!!! To start… I need to get back on track after being derailed through the holidays. What a slippery slope! I’ve sign up & already had session #1 with a trainer… Beginning to pick things up & put things down. :)

Finally back to working out after ACL surgery and recovery from adrenal fatigue… But with a new perspective. Your website and philosophy of “First Comes Health” is mine to embrace as I start a new year. Thank you for your inspiration!

Going strict pale for a few months ( to reset and to lose a little more weight), do more fermentation, and take up MMA ( I have a bag and weights set up but I think I would like to take a few classes.)

I’m going to focus on ME for once. Water. Water. Water. And then whole unprocessed foods. I’m a good addict so I need to make this a lifestyle and I’m ready. For ME.
